Fidelity has promoted Jackie Boylan to run the Fundsnetwork platform.
Ms Boylan has been promoted from her previous role as head of advisory services, where she was responsible for the delivery of the Fundsnetwork service to advisers.
She will replace Pat Shea, who is due to retire at the end of 2018 and who had been head of Fundsnetwork since 2012.
Ms Boylan said: "I’m delighted to be appointed to lead Fundsnetwork and work with the team to build upon its success and contribute to the next phase of growth. The platform and advisory market is undergoing significant change which is both exciting and challenging.
"I’m looking forward to working with our advisory partners in my new capacity to continue to develop the platform and deliver a market leading experience that meets their needs."
Ms Boylan had been head of advisory service since May 2017 and will take up her new role on Tuesday 1 January 2019.
She previously worked with BT Financial Group, an Australian wealth management company.
Pete Horrell, UK managing director at Fidelity International, said: "Jackie has considerable knowledge and experience in the industry, gained from working both in the UK and Australia, both of which have well-developed advisory platform markets.
"This makes her ideally suited to the role and her appointment demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the financial adviser market."
