An advice firm in Cheshire has offered to pay staff who are within the first three months of their employment to leave if they wish.
Equilibrium Asset Management will pay staff who feel the “company isn't right for them” a full month’s salary plus a 13 per cent parting payment.
The advice firm’s head of culture, Sarah Warburton, said: “A lot of people think that what we say about our culture and our benefits package is too good to be true, and that perhaps we’ve applied a bit of artistic license.
“But it’s all completely genuine – we want to provide the very best for our team in order to attract and retain the very best in talent.
“In the long term, staying somewhere you don’t want to be isn’t healthy. Equally, we recognise that it can feel intimidating to tell your employer that something isn’t working. People have responsibilities and may have families relying on them, and so deciding to leave a secure job can seem daunting."
She added: “We genuinely care about the people who choose to come and work with us, and we hope that providing this option will mean that anyone who chooses Equilibrium is choosing us because we’re exactly right for them. That will translate into happy, committed and productive staff.”
Equilibrium Asset Management employs 86 staff at its office in Wilmslow. The firm has assets under administration of £950m, and posted a profit of £9.46m last year.
